Stuff people always ask....

Pink neon sign reading 'Where the magic happens' glowing on a dark wall.

Do you pierce with needle or 'gun'?

As a dedicated professional to the art of piercing and trained experience of anatomy, I only pierce with single use cannula needles. It's not as scary as it sounds as, in fact, it's a much safer and smoother process of piercing than a 'traditional' gun piercing.

For why? A cannula needle, like used in hospitals, is razor sharp and therefore makes a clean cut incision. Compared to the gun method which fires a sharpened stud by force through the flesh, the stud is not and cannot be as sharp as a needle and therfore causes 'ripping' and trauma to the skin. The gun also cannot be sterilised and often used by professionals of another skill such as hair styling or customer service therefore it is their second job and not their trained career.

Does it hurt?

Well, it's going to pinch a little bit and everyone's pain threshold is different. However, with a piercing, it is a split second and often the nerves and apprehension is bigger then the actual piercing.

So, handy tip.....don't focus on the pain, focus on how cool it's going to look after! And how much can it hurt, some people (like me) have so many that we wouldn't if it hurt that bad, right?

The piercing lasts seconds for a lifetime of beauty and sparkle.

Can I be pierced with my own jewellery?

Unfortunately not. Because your jewellery isn't sterilsed, verified or known to me to be able to guarantee quality, purities and allergens so if anything goes 'wrong' I wont know why and whats been put in you.

All of the jewellery I offer is ATSM implant grade titanium from a verified body jewellery supplier. It's highly polished with no imperfections meaning no abrasions or areas for bacteria. Every piece is cleaned, sealed and sterilsed in house in our autoclave oven to 134degrees. I select the right size for your exact anatomy to allow for swelling and healing. So for all fresh piercings, I will only use new sterilse jewellery from my collection. Once healed, I am happy to install your own jewellery but may advise you of any suitability issues.

Can I bring a friend?

Absolutely. Everyone can bring a hand holder if they want. My private room is big enough for a couple of extra people but not a crowd.

If you're nervous, you can also give our service dog, Bundy, a cuddle. He makes everyone calm and happy.

What if I change my mind?

Be absolutely sure that you want the piercing. No one, especially not me, is going to force you to go through with something if you're not sure. Once you're sitting comfortably and all the boring paperwork (consent forms) are done, I will give you a moment and ask if your'e ready before I open all the equipment and sterile jewellery. Once everything is open, there is no refunding chickening out, LOL. If I have opened single use supplies then they need to be used or paid for which is often 50% of the piercing cost as it's just me, not a corporation that has to pay for this stuff.

Why are there age restrictions?

A piercing is a wound so when you come to me, you're asking me to make a wound and fill it with pretty tings. But wounds have repercussions as they take time to heal, they can bruise, they can hurt and they require a lot of aftercare by YOU to ensure they heal properly and safely.

You're asking me to put a piece of metal, un-naturally, into your body and your body is going to react to that so you need to make sure you can follow the advice to look after it for the required amount of time.

Also, the body goes through changes over our years and some parts of the anatomy change more then others so just because there's skin there, it doesn't mean that a) you are in a position to be able to ensure it heals and b) your body might not be ready or suitable to hold an external bit of metal

Why do we need ID?

I am an insured and licenced professional and I only do things right by you and by my governing c council. This is your body and this is my career. I am not going to just say yes for the money if its not right or not safe. So ID is required to prove that you are of age and that you are you, and if under age, your actual legal guardian is giving consent for you.

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes absolutely. My room is open and available within my opening times and I accept walk-ins as long as I'm not pre-booked. If I am booked, there may just be a little bit but there's a waiting area and also a cafè just next door. But i do always say, to ensure you're not disappointed it is best to book.

What payment methods do you take?

As an independent sole trader, cash is King and prices are kept low for cash.

I can take PayPal or bank transfer also.

But if you want to pay be card, please ask for card prices as they work out slightly higher.

What happens after the piercing?

You go and eat some sugar and being by the coast there is plenty of choices for that. Oh yeah and I give you sweets after too.

But seriously, after your piering you need to follow the aftercare guidelines that I give you and come back for your free (yes FREE) health check appointments as all of my aftercare services are free for you for that piering until its healed as long as dyoure following my advice.

(caveat: if you do something you shouldn't after like go on a mud run, swimming, lay on the beach, or remove it too soon etc and I have to fix it, then my service is chargeable to sort it)

When will you start doing tooth gems?

I have been going through training and my accreditation will be through soon so I aim to start the introduction of tooth gems to my services in May 2026

Are tooth gems permanent?

Tooth gems are stuck on with dental adhesive like a set of braces so they aren't permanent. They aim to stay on between 4-24 months depending on lifestyle. They can be removed by a dental professional.
